Sullivan Awarded US Forest Service Contract
In January 2009, Sullivan was awarded a 3 million dollar IDIQ contract to support a variety of design, maintenance and construction projects throughout the four National Forests in Southern California. Those forests include the San Bernardino National Forest and the USFS regional headquarters, the Angeles National Forest, the Los Padres National Forest and the Cleveland National Forest in San Diego County. Sullivan's Construction Manager, Jeff Waggle located in the San Diego Headquarters office is leading the effort on this new contract win, who recently said "we are currently in the process of receiving several task order awards and are also reviewing several more in anticipation of a quick fill on this contract". Most of the projects will be for building upgrades and others projects that support overall improvements of Forest Service building and National Park facilities.

Neal Clements, Sullivan's COO is also supporting construction quality control and has been instrumental in helping to restructure Sullivan's program to accommodate this and other pending construction contract awards. He recently stated "as Sullivan's COO, I've been working with Jeff and other key managers and technical staff to make it a priority to ensure the right systems and resources are in place to support this and other ongoing construction and infrastructure contracts recently awarded as well as several others we hope to win in 2009".

Established in 1905, the Forest Service is an agency of the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The Forest Service manages public lands in national forests and grasslands which encompasses 193 million acres of land. Gifford Pinchot, the first Chief of the Forest Service, summed up the mission of the Forest Service "to provide the greatest amount of good for the greatest amount of people in the long run."
