Sullivan Opens Office in Denver
San Diego, CA: In January 2009, Sullivan opened its new office in Denver to support ongoing work with DOE, specifically the DOE National Renewable Energy Laboratory. Sullivan is currently a subcontractor to EnergyWorks, LLC, on an 85 million dollar contract supporting a broad effort to help bring new renewable energy technologies to the market. Much of this work is being done in Denver and Sullivan’s Washington, DC office. In conjunction with the new office, Sullivan also has hired Adrienne Barnes to head up the energy projects associated with this effort and other pending contracts. She is the lead Project Manager in Denver and will be helping to support the staff and project ramp up anticipated in 2009. Sullivan is a proven national environmental service provider and realizes the critical role energy plays in environmental stewardship and preservation.

Adrienne will also foster renewable energy, alternative fuel, and energy efficiency projects for Sullivan’s existing client base, predominantly the Department of Defense and seeks to expand into new opportunities with the Department of Energy and commercial clients. Prior to joining the Sullivan team, she was owner and principal for a biofuel consulting and brokering firm called Sustainable Systems. Adrienne formerly worked for Imperium Renewables Inc. where she was the Hawaii-region sales and business development manager. Imperium Renewables is a biodiesel company that currently has a processing facility in Washington State with plans to build a facility on the leeward coast of Oahu in Hawaii. Adrienne managed the permitting of the 100-million gallon transesterfication processing plant to be built in Hawaii.

Adrienne’s environmental experience was gained while working for Weston Solutions, Inc. in Seattle, WA and Honolulu, HI. She worked on a variety of commercial, State, and Federal contracts with focus on site investigations and remediation, Brownfields assessments and clean-up, emergency response, and environmental permitting and compliance. Strategic clients included the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the Air Force Center for Engineering and the Environment (AFCEE). Adrienne has a BS in Biology from Seattle University and has extensive experience in the alternative fuel and environmental industries.
