San Diego, California (July 24, 2006): San Diego based firm Sullivan International Group, Inc. (Sullivan) announced today that they and joint venture partner, T N & Associates, Inc. of Milwaukee, WI have been awarded a $21,000,000.00 EPA Region 5 START Contract under a Service Disabled Veteran, Small Business Joint Venture (JV) named STN Environmental, JV. As the managing partner of STN Environmental, JV; Sullivan received formal notification of this important contract award on Friday June 16th, 2006. The Superfund Technical Assessment and Response Team (START) contract is designed to provide EPA with advisory and technical assistance services associated with the threat or release of oil, hazardous substances or pollutants and response to other chemical emergencies or spills. “This work is the essential component for properly responding to environmental emergencies rapidly with the right personnel and innovative solutions. We will often need to be on site fully equipped within hours of being contacted by the client, with staff on site 7/24 on a rotating basis.” said Michael Foster, Ph.D., Sr. Vice President of Sullivan's Engineering, Remediation and Infrastructure Division. This contract covers all of Region 5 which includes Michigan, Minnesota, Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, and also allows for support nationally and internationally. This is a three year contract which can be extended for a possible 4 additional years.
