EHS Solutions, a business line under Sullivan Energy & Technology (E&T) is providing support to Pratt & Whitney (P&W), a division of United Technologies Corporation (UTC) a world leader in the design, manufacture, and support of aircraft engines, gas turbines and space propulsion systems. The E&T Division has been responsible for the design, development, and implementation of an enterprise Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) information management software solution called EHSdesk™.

The EHSdesk global implementation at P&W began in February of 2002 and is ongoing. The implementation currently consists of 100 facilities worldwide with up to 24 modules deployed per site with over 800 modules deployed to date. International sites include Norway, New Zealand, Japan, Taiwan, Singapore, China, Kiev, Israel, and Ireland. EHSdesk supports approximately 3,500 users and recorded nearly 1,000,000 transactions for P&W in 2008. Sullivan’s EHS Solutions team continues to provide maintenance and support, development, and deployment services to P&W in support of EHSdesk.

EHSdesk has been specifically noted by OSHA, EPA, and ISO auditors during P&W audits as a key element of P&W’s EHS program representing best management practices.

Over the life of the program, project deliverables have included needs assessments, cost/benefit analyses, systems analyses, requirements specifications, design specifications, software development plans, program management plans, configuration management, quality assurance, test plans, interface specifications, deployment plans, production support and maintenance plans, training, web-based training, and user documentation.
