Sullivan operated and maintained the 460-acre sanitary landfill and 6-acre composting operations for National Training Center, Fort Irwin. We provided 17 fulltime staff comprised of waste officers, monitors, litter control personnel, equipment operators and supervisors. Agency interface included the California Integrated Waste Management Board, Regional Water Quality Control Board, Air Quality Management District and San Bernardino County Department of Public Health.
In response to quick ramp-up requirements, we mobilized 14 full-time personnel and completed the Quality Management Plan (QMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Health and Safety Plans, inspection plans and staff training in the first 30 days of the contract.
Because of aggressive responses such as this, Sullivan has received five commendations for superior service since December 2000.
