Steven E. Sullivan 
Chief Executive Officer
Chairman of the Board

Steven E. Sullivan has been Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Sullivan International Group, Inc. since November 1998. As the original founder of Sullivan International Group he has been involved in the firm’s growth and success from the beginning, taking a small one man company to #7 on the Inc. 500 by the end of 2004. Today he is responsible for providing strategic direction and guidance for all Sullivan business units, including multiple joint ventures and other strategic partnerships. Mr. Sullivan served in the United States Naval Submarine Force from 1983 to 1999. He has a B.S. degree from Southern Illinois University and also holds multiple professional certifications.

Mr. Sullivan has served on the boards of several small businesses and non-profits in various capacities to include the Sullivan Children's Foundation (SCF), a California 501(c)(3) non-profit he helped create in 2004. He has served as the President and on the Board of Directors of San Diego EarthWorks, a nationally affiliated environmental education organization, the CalTrans Small Business Council (CSBC), and President of the Small Environmental Business Advisory Council (SEBAC). Steve is also an individual member of the Association of Environmental Professionals (AEP), and a corporate member of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA), the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA), the Association for Unmanned Vehicles Systems Association (AUVSI) and the United States Navy League. 

Bruce A. Quattrone
President
Managing Partner

Bruce A. Quattrone, as President of Sullivan International leads all company operations to include both operating divisions as well as corporate support services. Mr. Quattrone brings to Sullivan a strong financial background and exceptional leadership skills which he will use to lead the company to fulfill their mission of being a world class firm. Mr. Quattrone joins Sullivan after over 26 years of proven leadership in similar engineering and environmental firms. He will continue to focus the management team on project execution, communication amongst all staff, team building and staff morale.

Before joining Sullivan, Mr. Quattrone spent eleven years as the Chief Financial Officer of Jones & Stokes where he integrated six acquisitions into the existing business operations which included nineteen branch offices. His executive leadership led to record levels of both revenue and profits and his efforts to buy out the company ESOP saved the firm $10Million over seven years. Previous positions boast similar accomplishments. As Vice President of Operations and Finance at ATC Associates, he managed the financial performance of seventy five (75) field offices and integrated eleven acquisitions into existing operations. While at Balsam Environmental Consultants, Inc; as the President and COO, he grew business 40% per year for the first two years and as the CFO for EIP Associates he turned around a $75,000 loss to a gain of $870,000 in a twelve month period.

Mr. Quattrone holds a B.S. degree in Accounting from San Diego State University. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his family and deep sea fishing. He lives with his wife and 2 children in Folsom, CA.

Neal Clements
Executive Vice President
Managing Partner

Mr. Clements is the Executive Vice President of Sullivan International Group. He is responsible for the efficient and effective management of strategic initiatives that enhance company operations that include our Engineering, Remediation, & Construction (ERC), the Operations and Maintenance (O&M), and Energy & Technology (E&T) divisions. As a registered professional Civil Engineer in the states of California and Texas, he provides technical advice and oversight for all types of contracts. He has many years of project management experience and prior to joining the Sullivan team, he grew professionally to Vice President in a large fortune 500 company. Graduating from a big business culture, Mr. Clements made a key decision to move into the world of small business in late 2007.

Mr. Clements has 36 years of experience in the engineering, construction, and facility management business. Over the past 15 years he spent seven years in the environmental consulting and remediation business sector and the last eight years managing a 1,200 employee federal facility management business unit managing more than $120M in annual contract revenues. He served for 21 years on active duty in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps in various roles of Public Works management, construction management, contract administration and financial management. While on active duty, he served stateside and around the world in places like Earle NJ, Guam, Norfolk VA, Gulfport MS, Puerto Rico, Okinawa, Washington DC, and ended up in San Diego as the Public Works Officer for Naval Air Station, North Island, Coronado.

Mr. Clements graduated from the United States Naval Academy with a BS in Physics, received Navy Nuclear Power Training, and holds a ME in Civil Engineering (Construction Management) from Texas A&M University. He and his wife, Mary Jane, have lived in Coronado for 18 years where they raised three grown children. 

John Kirschbaum, P.E.
Senior VP, ERC Division Manager
Managing Partner

John is responsible for all client related activity and client development within Sullivan, including responsibilities for Operations, profit & loss, and strategic growth in the company’s core business of Environmental Remediation and Construction. Mr. Kirschbaum also manages an active business development program that emphasizes client account management and client service. John comes to Sullivan from his most recent position as a Vice President for federal programs for a fortune 500 Environmental and Infrastructure company, with responsibilities for managing a business line that focused on the federal client base, including USEPA, FEMA, and USAID services and revenues.

Prior to entering the private sector in 2002, John accumulated over 19 years of experience in the federal engineering and construction industry , including 17 years of service to the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and 2 years of service supporting the US Air Force as a Civilian Engineer. In his federal career, John was active as an in-house structural design Engineer, Project manager, and Program Manager on major Defense weapons systems bed down programs and design-build programs at various Defense Installations, including the in-house design of aircraft support facilities for the B-2 bomber program at Whiteman AFB.

John's last federal assignment of nearly 6 years was as Program Manager for USACE Worldwide Rapid Response Program, responding to many significant federal environmental and disaster sites. In that capacity, John has had the unique opportunity to work directly for numerous federal agencies, including the Department of Interior, the US Air Force, the Defense Energy Support Center, the Department of Commerce, the Department of Energy, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, the State Department, several Corps of Engineers Districts, and the US Environmental Protection Agency. John is a registered professional engineer.

Jeffrey Giglio
Senior VP, E&T Division Manager
Managing Partner

Jeff Giglio is the Senior Vice President of the Energy & Technology Division of Sullivan International. He leads Sullivan International's newest division in strategically expanding the company's business to include renewable energy initiatives, green technologies, robotics, e-learning and environmental health and safety technology solutions.

Mr. Giglio joined the U.S. Navy after receiving his education from State University of New York (SUNY) schools. He served four and half years of his Navy service on a submarine, the USS Permit SSN 594. Upon leaving the military, he provided international engineering consulting services to General Electric for more than three years, before starting his first computer-based training business in 1991.

His entrepreneurial activities led him to start and grow several technology companies. The IT Group, a Fortune 1000 company out of Monroeville, PA acquired his first company, JLG Technology; The Shaw Group, a Fortune 500 Company headquartered in Baton Rouge, LA purchased ITG Technologies; and SYS Technologies, a publically-traded company in San Diego, acquired Web Technologies. Mr. Giglio served as Senior Vice President of Shaw's Power Transmission and Distribution Group until 2005.

More recently, before joining Sullivan International, Mr. Giglio served as Senior Vice President of the Web Technologies Division of SYS Technologies a Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. company which is a leading provider of information connectivity solutions to government and commercial clients. There he continued his business activities with Federal agencies, including the Department of Treasury, the Department of the Navy, and the Department of Energy, along with commercial clients such as American Honda Motor Company, Capital One, the DuPont Company, GMAC Financial Services, Pratt & Whitney, and Volkswagen of America, to name a few.

Mr. Giglio looks forward to using his expertise to form strategic teaming partnerships between Sullivan International and select corporations to well service Federal, State, and local contracting opportunities, and to successfully expand the Energy & Technology Division into new lines of business.

Ed Sternagle
Vice President
Secretary, Board of Directors

Ed Sternagle serves as Corporate Secretary of the Company. Ed also provides strategic planning management services to the Company and has managed all Sullivan corporate functions that support the company operating divisions.

Prior to joining Sullivan, Ed actively consulted with the City of San Diego and other municipalities to help increase the efficiency and effectiveness of city government. Ed also represented VISTAGE (formally TEC), an international organization of over 8000 CEOs in 14 different countries. He acted as a VISTAGE Group Facilitator, coaching and mentoring CEOs in individual groups of sixteen members. Ed completed an assignment as the Executive Director of UC Riverside Connect. In that capacity, he coached entrepreneurs and CEOs of start-up and early stage companies to “connect” with the resources they need to be successful.

During his career, Mr. Sternagle has accumulated over 30 years of unique general business and technical management experience. He has started several high tech businesses and has grown those to be successful, profitable companies. Mr. Sternagle has also held key senior management positions at several technology companies including Computer Sciences Corporation, Xerox, Hand Held Products, Ticketron, and Mitchell International.

Ed is the inventor of a U.S. Business Process Patent and has had overall program management responsibilities for major business systems in the aerospace, automotive, real estate, manufacturing, retail, and entertainment industries. He has been able to broadly apply practical organizational and business development concepts to help entrepreneurs start and grow high tech companies. Ed holds a degree in Business Administration.

Stewart Bornhoft, P.E., P.M.P. 
Vice President 


Mr. Bornhoft leads our Navy environmental programs and also serves as our Corporate Health and Safety Director. As Program Manager for the $40 million NAVFAC Southwest Multi Media Environmental Compliance contract, he provides multidisciplinary environmental services to our valued Navy Clients throughout the country. He earned his Professional Engineer registration from Virginia in 1979 and gained his Project Management Professional credential in 2006.

Prior to joining Sullivan, Mr. Bornhoft had 39 years experience in engineering and program/project management and leadership positions, encompassing both government and private sector service. During his last 12 years in industry, he simultaneously managed three major Indefinite Delivery / Indefinite Quantity programs totaling $760 million, served as Regional Operations Manager for environmental and clean construction and as Regional Director of the PM Department overseeing more than 70 program/project managers from Kentucky to Korea. During his 26 years on active duty in the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), he commanded two Districts, directing high visibility, large scale operations, involving 1,700 people located throughout 10 Midwestern states; served twice in the USACE HQs; and concluded his uniformed career as the Director of Public Works at Fort Sill, OK, a major Army installation. Earlier in his career he commanded combat engineer soldiers during two tours in Vietnam.

Mr. Bornhoft holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the US Military Academy at West Point, a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech, and a Master of Business Administration from Long Island University. He also taught Electrical Engineering at West Point for three years.
