Sullivan provides systems analysis, engineering, design, development, testing, installation and subject matter expertise to support the NSSMS requirement for an automated Interactive Electronic Technical Publishing System utilizing XML, Internet accessibility, and leading edge COTS database and browser technologies and products.

Sullivan’s system development efforts provide the government with streamlined and automated processes encompassing engineering, legacy publication conversion, technical authoring, web browsing, CD-ROM, and PDF.

Sullivan personnel performed the requirements analysis, designed the system architecture, and now provides continued development of the IETPS core system authoring and browsing capabilities in accordance to AECMA Specification S1000D utilizing an open architecture modular approach with integration of a native XML database, and COTS products employing XML. Capabilities for technical authoring, publishing, graphics management, navigation routing/browsing search and retrieval with visual hotspots, annotation, bookmarks, and hyperlink assistance are employed.

Development of the core system includes full publication viewing and printing capabilities with revision control and project management logic. Sullivan also provides the hosting, system administration, and online accessibility to the system for government editing, review, and publication of technical maintenance and training manuals (IETMS) and S1000D/XML guidance to aid the government in conversion of legacy data for operation within the core system capabilities.
